So, we’ve been a bit quiet lately. We haven’t been DIYing and remodeling as much as we have in the past. We’ve accomplished so much in such a short amount of time, we really just need a break from all the hard labor. We’ve been crafting a bit, which you’ve read about (and will soon read about again) and we’ve been handling regular maintenance type stuff around the house, but we have no major projects in the pipeline at the moment.
With that being said, we recently took a much-needed break! We went out to L.A. to visit some family and friends and it was a GREAT time.
We had been to L.A. 2 times before, but this was the best trip yet. We’ve done all the touristy things in the past and this was the first time we had a rental car for the entire trip. We spent a lot of time visiting with people, walking (lots and lots of walking) and just soaking up the CA sunshine. 
Even I managed to get a little color (I’m practically Casper otherwise).
We ate at In-N-Out Burger (obviously).
We visited the Getty Center.
We had drinks at the Dresden in Los Feliz, the bar from the 1996 classic, Swingers. Check out these sweet lights… 
We went on a self/friend-guided brewery tour.
We had fun.
